Works of the Collection Lambert Paintings of 1970s-1980s
October 24, 2009 – January 31, 2010
“Untitled #1” presents paintings and drawings from the Collection Lambert en Avignon. It includes both historic items and recent acquisitions, and provides an insight into the way the collection has developed and into the identity of its home.
It offers a fascinating glimpse of the changing choices made by Yvon Lambert over two key decades in contemporary art, both as an art dealer and a collector.
More than just the history of a collection, this exhibition is about the history of art; bringing together such radically different works in a single exhibition makes it possible to explore different ways of approaching and creating art.
