It’s Not About Luxury! Festival

Family(ies)

From September 25, 2026, to September 27, 2026

Since 2022, residents of family boarding houses, social workers, artists and members of the Collection Lambert team have been meeting regularly as part of a citizens’ collective created during the Festival C’est pas du luxe ! festival. What was initially intended as a one-off experience has gradually evolved into a long-term collective journey, driven by the relationships formed among participants and by a shared desire to continue exploring questions surrounding the role of the museum, life stories and collaborative forms of artistic creation.

Over the past several months, the collective has been meeting regularly with artists Emilie Rousset, Sarah Maeght and Louise Hémon both at the museum and within their own living environments to investigate the forms of connection, transmission and solidarity that are created there on a daily basis. Conversations, memories, routines and gestures have gradually become the material for an exhibition in progress centred on the notion of the chosen family. Between the fragility of individual life paths and the strength of newly formed bonds, the project examines how new forms of belonging emerge today within these collective spaces.

Opening on September 25, 2026, as part of the Festival C’est pas du luxe !, the exhibition will bring together works from the Collection, collected testimonies and films to reveal new family mythologies.
