South Korean choreographer and performance artist Geumhyung Jeong continually explores the uncanny relationship between her body and the objects of modernity in her performances.

Jeong creates performances that privilege repetition, demonstration, and incompleteness over narrative or conventional emotional expression.

Her works evoke tension and discomfort through meticulously controlled gestures and deliberately imperfect processes.

Although she works with robots and technology, her primary interest lies in their malfunctions, using failure to reveal the limits of the human body and human desire.

At the intersection of performance and installation, she has developed a distinctive practice that interrogates the relationships between machines, the body, and failure.
