CelloGayageum

CelloGayageum is a duo formed in Berlin by Austrian cellist Sol Daniel Kim and Korean gayageum player Dayoung Yoon. They have created an original musical world that crosses the boundaries between tradition and modernity, East and West. Both musicians are highly accomplished in their respective fields and have been recognized for their artistry on international stages. They also gained public attention through their appearance on JTBC’s Superband. Their music—combining the rich resonance of the cello with the traditional beauty of the gayageum—presents a new sense of aesthetics and expression. In March 2025, they signed with the New York headquarters of IMG Artists, a leading global performing arts management agency, signaling a new phase of expanded international activity. CelloGayageum continues to translate the beauty of difference into newness through music and seeks to build deep connections with audiences around the world.
